Players will continue to receive skating instruction on proper stride technique and stopping and will also start to learn backwards skating, inside and outside edges. Players will also learn how to skate with the puck, stickhandling skills, passing skills and introductions on shooting. Each class will conclude with a 10-minute cross-ice scrimmage.

This program requires full hockey equipment and is designed to refine the skills that were learned in their first year of hockey. Skating instruction will begin to focus on forwards and backwards crossovers, tight turns and pivoting. Players will also learn how to skate with the puck at speed, give and receive passes while moving and learn to shoot while moving. Each class will conclude with a 10-minute scrimmage.
