Learn to Skate

Fall Program Registration Open Now!

This program is suitable for children aged three years old and up. First time skaters are welcome and encouraged to join the program!

This program is an introductory class that teaches young children the fundamentals of skating. Our program is designed to teach students how to get up and move around the ice, and starts to introduce fundaments such as skating stride, backwards skating and stopping.

Each session will be 45 minutes in length. The class will be broken down into 40 minutes of instructional time and five minutes of free/play time. Each class will have a maximum of 22 skaters and approximately a 5/1 student to instructor ratio to ensure that each child is getting more reps and personalized feedback.

This year, our summer programs will be split into two sessions:

• Session One: June 29, 2026 to August 2, 2026
• Session Two: August 3, 2026 to September 4, 2026

Families will have the option to register for either individual session OR for the entire summer.

Families who register for the full summer will receive one free week of programming. For example, if a program runs for 10 weeks, you will only pay for 9 weeks.

Please note: the cost of all classes are prorated to reflect the number of weeks remaining in the program. The prorated amount will appear when you reach the payment stage of the registration.

Learn to Skate Dress Code

• Skates that have been sharpened.
• CSA approved hockey helmet with face shield (click link for example)
• No exposed skin is permitted. Must wear winter gloves/mitts, long sleeves and pants.
• Knee pads and elbow pads are optional.
